THE CHALLENGE

Opened in 2014, in a regional market typically not considered as an option for leisure travelers visiting Puerto Rico, Hyatt Place Manati was faced with the challenge opened to overcome the perceived disadvantages of not being in the greater San Juan area to increase traffic and occupancy.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Visitors statistics told us that travelers were looking for experiences beyond sand and sun.

Most visitors were staying in the greater San Juan metro area sometimes traveling long distances to experienced Puerto Rico’s wealth of attractions

The town of Manati and Hyatt Place Manatí in particular, are at the center of many of the island’s most renowned beach, adventure, gastronomic and cultural attractions.

With two sister properties 15 min from each other, Hyatt Place San Juan/Bayamón and Hyatt House San Juan, as well as many business travelers staying at the hotel itself, the Hyatt Place Manati has a unique platform to present its value proposition to a captive audience of Hyatt customers already in Puerto Rico who could be enticed to extend their stay or explore beyond San Juan.

OUR OBJECTIVE

Create a multi-pronged campaign with a direct call-to-action to build a brand for the Manatí region, and Hyatt Place Manatí specifically, that places the hotel conveniently at the center of some of Puerto Rico’s most exciting attractions, thereby increasing our capture of Puerto Rico’s growing leisure traveler room nights.

EXECUTION

Developed a unique logo and tag-line that communicated the core message of the campaign.

Created unique, curated content that focused on the key attractions proximate to the hotel (beaches, adventure/ecotourism, shopping, culture historic sites, gastronomy and sports), presented in a variety of media (billboards, Facebook, website, mailers, brochure and others) with stunning photography and useful content and map links.

Leveraged the Hyatt Place brand’s modern and vibrant identity and voice (colors, fonts and iconography).
